BASIC OBSERVING SERIES

The following items are a series of articles originally published in "Star Stuff," the monthly newsletter of the Ford Amateur Astronomy Club. Each article covers one specific segment of amateur observing, and discusses the preferred equipment and basic techniques for that type of observing. The goal is not technical depth, but to provide exposure to a wide range of observing alternatives. This may help a novice get started, or broaden the interest of a more experienced observer.
