Imaging Album of Gary Stewart

A reminder that Hale-Bopp is not the only interesting body visible. Image of Mars taken 3-18-97 around 11pm. ST5 CCD, 5" refractor and 15mm eyepiece projection with red filter. South is up. Had very good seeing, small north polar cap visible.

UPDATE: March 20, 1999:
I have included some astrophotos I took at SMURFS last year with my AP refractor.

UPDATE: March 31, 1999
Here are a couple of images from the ST5. The saturn rgb image is the last color I am doing until they make a good single shot color camera. RGB is a lot of work, I seem to lack the patience of doing three of everything. However in the mean time, the ST5 is well suited to solar imaging .The enclosed image is an example of what can be contributed to the ALPO solar section. The ALPOSS actively seeks amateurs who can submit observations for archiving.
