These two very nice open clusters, M6 and M7, were easily visible to the naked eye from the TSP. I found it amazing that the one nestled in the star cloud (M7) was more apparent than the one in the dark lane (M6). I thought it would be easier to see the one in the dark area because of the increased contrast. Well – I learn something new every day! This shot was taken with my Canon F1 and 300mm f5.6 lens. This is a one hour exposure on Kodak Ektapress PJ400 film. The camera was mounted on my Losmandy G11 mount and autoguided with my ST4. |
