BeeHive Cluster by Clay Kessler

M44 – The Beehive Cluster:

M44 is a wonderful open cluster that site out basically by itself in the sky. It is located in Cancer between Leo and Gemini and is easily visible to the eye as a soft glowing patch against the dark sky background.

This shot was taken with my Canon F1 and Soligor 200mm f3.5 lens. This is a 40 minute exposure on Kodak Ektapress PJ400 film. The camera was mounted on my Losmandy G11 mount and autoguided with my ST4.
