Horsehead Images by Richard Brenz

Here is my shot of the Horsehead shot on a roll of PJ400 that Clay gave me last summer. 60 min exposure @ f/6.3 prime focus. Air temp 12 deg. I cropped the photo after processing in Photoshop to eliminate the large vignetting defect caused by my recently "improved" radial guider. The guider will need to be improved again it seems. I performed an Apply Image/Add-mask-invert after color correcting.
Here's another version of the horsehead nebula after the website photo was copied as a separate layer and multiplied at 85% opacity and the two images flattened. I think it markedly improved the details.
